PROFILE

1986年生まれ、千葉県出身。日大芸術学部映画学科監督コースを卒業。制作会社勤務を経て、NYでドキュメンタリーを撮影。帰国後、BABEL LABELに所属。

「ONE SHOW」街頭広告部門 MERIT 受賞『THE SLEEPING DRUNKS』や「MOBILE CREATIVE AWARD」グランプリ受賞の「コンバース創業 110 周年『SHOES OF THE DEAD』ほか広告賞受賞多数。『ユニポス伝えられていなかった感謝』『母校に in ゼリー2019 サンシャイン池崎母校に差し入れ篇』などドキュメンタリックな演出を得意とする一方で、『LINE Xmas クリスマスに、私はフラれた』などドラマ演出を取り入れた広告作品に定評がある。広告のほか、MVや映画『LAPSE』「SIN」も手掛ける。

Born in 1986 and raised in Chiba Prefecture, Kentaro is a graduate of the Department of Cinema's Directing Course at Nihon University's College of Art.
After working at a production company in Japan, he went to New York to film documentaries. He joined BABEL LABEL upon his return to Japan.
Kentaro has won numerous advertising awards, including One Show's Merit award in its Experiential Advertising/Guerilla category for "THE SLEEPING DRUNKS," and Mobile Creative Award's Grand Prix for "'SHOES OF THE DEAD' ★Converse 110th Anniversary."
While good at documentary-style direction, seen in "Tsutaerareteinai Kansha (Unconveyed Gratitude)" for Unipos, "Boko in Zeri 2019: Sunshine Ikezaki Boko in Sashiire-hen (Alma Mater in Jelly 2019: Sunshine Ikezaki Delivers In Jelly to His Alma Mater)" for In Jelly and others, Kentaro is also well-known for commercials incorporating TV drama-style direction, such as "Kurisumasu ni, Watashi wa Furareta (I Was Dumped on Christmas)" for LINE Xmas 2019.
Outside of advertising, he also directs music videos and movies, with an example of the latter being "SIN" from BABEL LABEL's anthology film, LAPSE (2019).
